Catherine Byun (she/her/hers)

Catherine is a first-year graduate student interested in social behavior, development, and life history in non-human primates. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University where she studied parent-offspring social interactions in captive lemur species at the Duke Lemur Center. She then spent a year as a research assistant in Dr. Rebecca Lewis’ lab at the University of Texas at Austin where she studied activity budget comparisons between juveniles, adolescents, and adults in a wild Verreaux’s sifaka population.
