Jacob earned his PhD in integrative biology in May of 2024. His dissertation research focused on the effects of seasonality and elevation use on behavioral and dietary flexibility in snub-nosed monkeys (Rhinopithecus bieti).
Jacob was briefly interviewed in an episode of Travelogue: Exploring Hidden China. The episode documents some of the ecotourism, conservation, and educational activities surrounding black-and-white snub-nosed monkeys in the Baima Snow Mountain Nature Reserve, where Jacob conducted his field research. Jacob appears in the video at the 20:25 mark.
